A garage that happens to sell cars
Most dealers buy a car, wash it and put it out. We had the workshop first, which changes what we are willing to sell.
ONEFIX has been on Chester Road for years, servicing other people’s cars and seeing what comes through the door. You learn quickly which models last and which ones are a bill waiting to happen.
ONECARS came out of that. We buy cars we would be happy to put our own name to, prepare them on our own ramps, and price them with whatever we found rather than hiding it. If a car needs eight hundred pounds spending before it is fit to sell, we spend it and we do not add it to the ticket.
It also means we say no a lot. Roughly one car in three we look at gets left at auction, usually because of a gearbox we do not trust or a service book that does not add up. That is not us being fussy for effect — we have to warranty it for three months and we are the ones who fix it.
We are a small team and you will deal with the same people from the first phone call to the guarantee running out. There is no sales floor, no manager to go and ask, and nobody on commission trying to add finance you did not want.
What we are not
We are not the cheapest forecourt in Wrexham and we do not try to be. If the lowest price is what matters most, there are places that will beat us, and some of those cars will be fine. Ours cost a bit more because of what happens to them before they go out.
The team
Sam buys the cars and prices them. If you want to know why a car is what it is, ask him.
Joanne runs the office, the diary and the paperwork. Most likely the person who answers the phone.
